Release - July 29, 2024

Release - February 21, 2024

  • 🐛 Upload (CEO3) - Enabling "automatically publish" and "group uploads into gallery" publish the gallery automatically.
  • 🐛 Custom Content (CEO3) - DateTime meta property properly converts between local and UTC timezones on save.
  • 🐛 Article Editor (CEO3) - Clips work on page content now.
  • 🐛 UI (CEO3) - Fixed clickable target area on segmented buttons (like "New Article").

Release - December 11, 2023

  • 🎉 Multi-Export (CEO3) - You can finally select multiple content items and export them as a ZIP file.
  • 🎉 Tags (CEO3) - Tags dropdown will now show your most used tags by default.
  • 🎉 Authors Meta (CEO3) - You can now include a generic author list as content meta and custom entry types.
  • 🐛 Version Compare (CEO3) - Version list and compare shows the name of the editing user again.
  • 🐛 Tags (CEO3) - Tag autocomplete dropdown properly scrolls again, also increased the number of results returned to 40.

Release - November 9, 2023

  • 🔬 Search (CEO3) - Feature testing new search backend with dashboard views.
  • 🐛 Uploader (CEO3) - Uploader is more fault tolerant during uploads with a large number of files.

Feature Release - September 27, 2023

  • 🔬 Editor (CEO3) - Updated copy reference modal placement, should no longer steal focus.
  • 🎉 Assignments (CEO3) - Issue search field will automatically show the 5 most recent issues.
  • 🎉 Editor (CEO3) - Updated Article Editor to 2.5.7.
  • 🎉 Uploads (CEO3) - You can now turn off the default selection for publishing uploads.
  • 🎉 Tips (CEO3) - Updated tips and tip styles across CEO. You can disable tips now in your account settings.
  • 🐛 CEO2/CEO3 compat (CEO3) - Saving an article in CEO3 will automatically clear out _raw values computed by CEO2. This should keep editor data consistent between the two systems.
  • 🐛 Group ACLS (CEO3) - Automation task access is handled at the group level.
  • 🐛 Simple Editor (CEO3) - Re-enabled all heading types (H1 - H6).
  • 🐛 DAL (CEO API) - Selection fixes for upcoming database layer upgrade.

Experiment Release - September 5, 2023

  • 🔬 Video Transcriptions (CEO3) - We're testing video transcriptions and recognition in directly uploaded videos. This will not transcribe videos from other sources (e.g. YouTube).
  • 🔬 Tagging From Search (CEO3) - You can tag items directly from search results.
  • 🐛 Copy Refs (CEO3) - Fixed error when saving copy references.

QOL Release - August 28, 2023

  • 🔬 Copy References (CEO3) - By popular demand, notes/copy references are back. Sort of. While we continue to work on CopyDesk features, you can still insert notes and references in-text.
  • 🔬 Search Cache (CEO3) - Interim search cache to speed content fetching on sites with deep archives.
  • 🎉 Exports (CEO3) - New customizable Simple XML export option. Ease importing into print layout tools when ICML is overkill.
  • 🐛 Uploader (CEO3) - Fixed issue where the media uploader would not properly save GIF previews.
  • 🐛 Uploader (CEO3) - Fixed an issue with hyphenated client codes.
  • 🐛 Uploader (CEO3) - Fixed an issue where YouTube videos were not importing with a proper media type.
  • 🐛 Message Queue (CEO3) - Fixed an issue where the message queue's rollup feature was hanging.

Hot Fix Release - July 20, 2023

  • 🐛 Grammarly (CEO3) - Grammarly SDK removed from Article Editor. Grammarly has ended support for the system.

QOL Release - July 17, 2023

  • 🔬 Search/Filtering (CEO3) - New content list cache makes filtering and sorting much faster when using a basic set of parameters. Filtering with keywords will fallback to old search method.
  • 🔬 Deep Archive Improvements (CEO3) - Sites with more than 200,000 content items should see noticeable speed improvements when filtering, creating, and saving.
  • 🐛 Queue Manager (CEO3) - Fixed an issue where the queue manager would not reboot after an update.

Bugfix Release - June 26, 2023

  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Fixed an issue when searching disabled tags in the tag module wouldn't return any results.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Replaced missing "click through" URL field in media.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Fixed overlay indexes... again.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Fixed issue where pagination may not update if attachment information is duplicated.
  • 🐛 Sites (API) - Fixed issue where CEO couldn't read a site's routes table if there were multiple connectors.
  • 🐛 Cron (API) - Fixed issue where multiple cron jobs wouldn't fire for CEO3 only installs.

Feature Release - May 31, 2023

  • 🔬 Crash Recovery (CEO3) - Local save and crash recovery can be enabled in settings, allow you to recover pending content changes after an accident or crash.
  • 🔬 Clips (CEO3) - Create reusable HTML clips that can be reused in the editor.
  • 🎉 Editor (CEO3) - Include your site's CSS into the article editor to have a better preview of what your live content will look like.
  • 🐛 UI (CEO3) - Fixed several overlay issues.
  • 🐛 UI (CEO3) - Cleaned up settings panel.

Small Feature Release - May 1, 2023

  • 🎉 Uploads (CEO3) - CEO will automatically publish uploaded media. Just uncheck the box to keep media in draft state.

Bugfix Release - April 24, 2023

  • 🎉 Dashboard (CEO3) - Active filtered facets will appear in bold green text, which will help indicate that results are filtered.
  • 🐛 Content (CEO3) - "Check-in" is now "Discard Changes" in the toolbar. "Check-out" and "Discard Changes" will not appear at the same time, and checking in without saving will cause a warning box.
  • 🐛 Autocomplete (CEO3) - Fixed error that would appear if you hit enter on an empty result list.
  • 🐛 Article Editor (CEO3) - Added block reorder.
  • 🐛 Article Editor (CEO3) - Removed code option as it was causing confusion with no apparent value.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Bottom pagination returns scroll to the top on load.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Top pagination expanded to include all results.
  • 🐛 Dashboard (CEO3) - Warning appears when you have filter options visible.

Bugfix Release - April 18, 2023

  • 🔬 Uploader (CEO3) - New uploader is now the default, updated uploads to allow all to complete before reporting errors.
  • 🔬 Uploader (CEO3) - Uploads will happen in parallel again.

Feature Release - April 4, 2023

  • 🔬 Uploader (CEO3) - This release features a complete rebuild of our media upload system. You can elect to use the new uploader by clicking the "Beaker" button on the upload window.

  • 🎉 Media Previews (CEO3) - Media previews are now displayed in the default table view.
  • 🐛 Search (CEO3) - Search sorting has been tweaked to help surface recent content.
  • 🐛 Gallery (CEO3) - Fixed gallery preview button.

  • 🎉 Media Uploader (CEO3) - New media upload review. Update title, caption, author after uploading.

December 2022 Release

  • UI (All) - Fixed extra scrollbars that were appearing on token and menu inputs.
  • Users (Accounts) - Fixed bug where pagination wouldn't reset on user search.

  • Help Docs (CEO3) - Updated getting started guide to include info on user management.

  • Publication Chooser (All) - Multiple publications appear in alphabetic order.

November 2022 Release

  • Automations (CEO3) - Added new transition types to automations. You can now create automations on update, publish, and create.

  • Settings (CEO3) - Removed unused panels, combined docs and support into new Help & Support panel.

October 2022 Release

  • CEO3 - Focus on speed and stability. All notifications have been updated, including all error messages. Error messages more clearly indicate the cause and solution of problems.

  • HOTFIX (CEO API) - Fixed issue where groups without explicit access to ACLs weren't able to retrieve access information (e.g. Editor, Writer, Pages Only in the default group set).
  • HOTFIX (Accounts) - Fixed warning when setting passwords for the first time.
  • HOTFIX (Accounts) - Fixed warning after creating a user and before groups have been added.

September 2022 Release

  • CEO3 & API - NEW Automations! Using workflows you can create powerful automations when content moves from one workflow status to another.

  • CEO3 - UPDATED Planner and assignments are now available in CEO3.

August 2022 Release

  • Removed upper "Add" menu and integrated into new Segmented Menu, with "New Article" as the default. This should make creating content more clear.
  • Error messages are more consistent and informative.

  • Safari iOS should no longer flash "not secure" when switching connections.
